Discover Atlanta returns May 22-24

Discover Atlanta group photoSyracuse’s first immersion program in the South, Discover Atlanta, will bring students from the College of Arts and Sciences to the city May 22–24, 2018, where they’ll experience its rich history, culture, and professional opportunities.

Sponsored by the Atlanta Regional Council and Syracuse’s College of Arts and Sciences, this immersion experience gives participating students the opportunity to meet and network with industry leaders and Syracuse alumni from a number of prominent Atlanta-based companies.

This year’s host companies include the Coca-Cola Company, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, Delta, Eric Mower & Associates, Georgia-Pacific, Google, Intermedix, and the Metro Atlanta Chamber. At each visit, host alumni will discuss how Syracuse prepared them for career success, share advice on how to establish a strong professional network, and provide tips to develop critical skills for success in the business world. Students will also learn about internship and entry-level opportunities at each respective company.

A special networking reception with area alumni promises to be a highlight of the trip, providing an opportunity for alumni to connect with students, give advice, and talk about what it’s like to live in Atlanta.
