Discover Atlanta returns in May
Syracuse’s first immersion program in the South is back by popular demand! Discover Atlanta will bring students from the College of Arts and Sciences to the city May 24–26, 2016, where they’ll experience its rich history, culture, and professional opportunities. Watch our highlight video from last year’s trip.
Sponsored by the Atlanta Regional Council and Syracuse’s College of Arts and Sciences, this immersion experience gives participating students the opportunity to meet and network with industry leaders and Syracuse alumni from a number of prominent Atlanta-based companies.
This year’s host companies include the Coca-Cola Company, First Data, GE Power & Water, Georgia-Pacific, and Turner Broadcasting. At each visit, host alumni will discuss how Syracuse prepared them for career success, share advice on how to establish a strong professional network, and provide tips to develop critical skills for success in the business world. Students will also learn about internship and entry-level opportunities at each respective company.
A special networking reception with area alumni promises to be a highlight of the trip, providing an opportunity for alumni to connect with students, give advice, and talk about what it’s like to live in Atlanta.
